Shias were instructed to fast for three days and recite Ziarah Ashura
Congratulations on the Birthday of Imam al-Hadi, peace be upon him.
At a time when the people of Samira were afflicted with Cholera, Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammad Fesharaki instructed the Shias to fast for three days and recite Ziarah Ashura. Sunnis were dying in throngs and no Shia would die; therfore some Sunnis would stand in front of the courtyard of Imam Hadi's shrine and would say: "O Ali al-Hadi, we greet you as the Shias greet you."
